This wire line unit is a
single reel type (upgradeable to double reel) with power taken from the
truck engine through a PTO unit or with a separate power skid giving drive
to the hydraulic power source of the winch mounted along with the reel
skids. The unit can be provided with the combination of both PTO & separate
power pack to use the truck engine for auxiliary drive in case the power pack
develops some problem. It is designed to run 25,000 ft of 0.092" OD wire
line.
The design and operational
features of this model are similar to those described in the earlier models
to provide wide range of speeds and torque levels, with the provision of a
4-speed manual transmission and a pressure-compensated directional control
valve in the power train.
A
house-type body is fabricated over the chassis to act as the operator's
cabin. The under-structure is fabricated using pressed M.S. hot sections of
40x40x80mm of 14 BG. The outer paneling is of 16 BG aluminium sheet while
inner paneling is made from laminated sheets fixed over 6mm plywood. The
body is well ventilated and fitted with a rear sliding door, a side door and
an inter connecting door into the driver's cabin. Also, insulation of 40mm thermocole
is provided in the body. Space is also provided in the body to locate tool
boxes, two folding berths, 50 liters water tank, first aid-box, spare wheel,
clamps for three manometers and control panel (housing all gauges, controls
systems, valve levers, brakes with indicators etc). For ease of night
operation, tube lights are fitted inside the operator's cabin and floodlight
in front and rear on top of the winch. |
