ROTARY REAMERS

"UDT MAKE"  3 point or 6 point construction rotary reamers are designed for reaming and stabilization in any type of formation. All parts of the tools: central pin,  blocks, locking screws are made of special alloy steel and heat treated. Drilling crews can easily replace any part in the field without the use of special tools, whether it is a sealed or non sealed bearing roller reamer.

CUTTERS: Available types are described below.

CENTRAL PIN: The alloy steel used is carburized and hardened to ensure good bearing wear characteristics and a slot at the end of the pin will prevent it from rotating.

CROSS PIN: This pin is driven into the top  bearing block as an additional safety to retain the main pin and cutter.

BLOCKS: These blocks have very little wear and need to be changed only after several cutter changes.

They also allow to re-size  the reamer to a different hole size when using different type blocks but retaining the same body and pins.
   

REAMER CUTTERS 

All types of cutters are made of special alloy steel and fully heat  treated. They are set vertically in the body eliminating drag or sliding on the wall of the hole being drilled.

TYPE S: Milled, machined and with  sharp teeth for maximum reaming in soft formations.

TYPE M: Milled, machined and  hard faced. Ideal for medium  to medium hard formations.

TYPE H: For hard formation, tungsten carbide inserts are recommended to fracture the formation.

TYPE VH: For very hard formation and  tough drilling  conditions this type cutter is always used.
